- 9 chords: C A G E D Em Am Cadd9 B7. (Am and Em are easy after learning the E chord. Cadd9 is easy after learning the G chord. So, you only need focus on 6 chords: C A G E D B7)
- Several strumming patterns.
- Combining chords with strumming patterns to play songs. Scroll down for a BIG list of songs you can play with just 9 chords.
- Playing with a metronome. (Difficult at first, then easy. Very beneficial.)
- Some dynamics (variations in volume level), so that your strumming sounds rhythmical and groovy.
- Tuning up using an electronic tuner.
- Capo usage.
- Reading chord diagrams and simple guitar notation (TAB)
- Finding and naming notes on the guitar fretboard (useful for communication with other musicians)
- A couple of finger-picking patterns
