Guitar, bass and ukulele set-ups
I've been adjusting and fine-tuning my own instruments for many years now, so that they sound the best that they can, and so that they are easy for me to play. In recent years, I've offered this service to my students too.
Why get your guitar set up anyway?

Why get your guitar set up anyway?
- New instruments. Manufacturers often leave the string height high (high nut and saddle.) High strings = sounds great but difficult to play. In most cases a better compromise can be found between sound and playability. (Most people find it hard to believe that manufacturers would not set up their instruments optimally but, sadly, it is indeed the case!)
- Older instruments. Perhaps your guitar was once set up beautifully and played great. But frets, nut and saddles gradually wear. And, the neck can bow due to temperature and humidty changes. Your guitar now needs some love to restore it to its former glory.
